Timeless Compass pairs traditional Qi Men Dun Jia chart casting with an AI reading. You enter your question and the moment to cast for, the site builds the nine-palace chart using the hour-based rotating-plate method, and the AI walks through the chart in the traditional order to give you a decision you can actually act on.
What we do
Two things. First, we make the chart itself exact — no hand-calculation slips: solar terms, stem-branch data, the ten-day cycle head, the duty symbol and duty gate, and the placement of the eight gates, nine stars and eight spirits, cast with yin/yang cycles and the standard placement rules. Gate placement is covered by automated tests against hand-cast reference charts. Second, we translate the chart into plain language.
How to use it
Enter your question on the home page and pick a date and time (it defaults to now). You get the nine-palace chart first, then the AI reading. Tick Expert mode for a deeper reading plus one follow-up question on the same chart. Every reading is saved under My Records, and you can export it as an image or share it with a link.

Alongside the charts we offer short self-assessments, so you can see where you stand before weighing a decision. Some are free; the more detailed one costs a small amount of Stardust.

Readings are priced in Stardust: 10 for a standard reading, 20 for Expert mode. New accounts start with 20. You can buy more on the Stardust page; payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card details. If an AI reading fails, the Stardust for it is refunded automatically.

What is Qi Men Dun Jia?
Qi Men Dun Jia is a classical Chinese art of strategy, roughly 1,500 years old. It maps a moment in time onto a nine-palace chart of gates, stars and spirits, and reads that chart to judge timing, direction and the balance of forces around a question.
Which charting method do you use?
We use the hour-based rotating-plate method (時家轉盤) with yin/yang cycles and the standard splitting-and-intercalation placement rules. Solar terms and stem-branch data are computed from the exact date and time you choose, and gate placement is verified by automated tests against hand-cast reference charts.
Is an AI reading accurate? Should I decide based on it?
The chart itself is deterministic, so it is reproducible. The reading is an interpretation: the AI follows traditional logic to explain what the chart favours and what it warns against. Treat it as a way to frame your situation, not as a prediction of fixed outcomes, and keep the final decision yours.
How much Stardust does one reading cost?

What does Expert mode add?
Expert mode produces a longer, palace-by-palace reading with more attention to the duty symbol, duty gate and timing, and it lets you ask one follow-up question on the same chart without casting again.
How do the psychology tests relate to Qi Men Dun Jia?
The chart describes the situation around you; the tests describe your own state — stress level, personality tendencies, career drive. Reading both together usually makes the choice clearer than either one alone.
