    Birth time corrected first

    We look up the time zone and daylight saving time in force at the birthplace in that year, then by default apply a true solar time correction for longitude and the equation of time (this can be switched off). If the time is close to a change of two-hour period (shichen), a change of month or the late Zi hour (23:00–24:00), you are alerted, with an explanation of whether the conclusions would change as a result.

    Fixed rules, reproducible results

    With the same rules version and the same calculation date, the same details produce the same report; the annual pillars, months and auspicious dates are worked out from the calculation date, so on a different date these parts will differ too. The rules version is printed on the report (v3.4.0).

    How this report is calculated

    This report is based on Ziping BaZi (Four Pillars). Using the birth details and settings you provide, it handles historical time zones, daylight saving time and, where applicable, true solar time correction. The system analyses each person’s destiny chart and the interactions between the two charts, and offers guidance on getting along based on the relationship type you chose. Where a birth time is unknown or close to the boundary between pillars, the limits of the analysis are noted. The content is a traditional cultural reference and is not a guarantee of any outcome for the relationship.

    Good to know before you start

    Is it all right if I don’t know the birth time?

    Yes. If you choose “Birth time unknown”, the analysis uses the three pillars of year, month and day, and most of the content still applies. If you only know the two-hour period (shichen), for example the Chen period (07:00–09:00), you can select that directly.

    What is true solar time?

    In a destiny chart, the two-hour periods (shichen) are based on the position of the sun. Clock time is uniform across a time zone; how far it differs from solar time at the birthplace depends on how far the birthplace’s longitude is from the standard meridian of its time zone, and on the date of birth (over the year, the equation of time varies by up to around a quarter of an hour either way). If daylight saving time was in force that year, it must also be taken off first. Depending on the place, the difference can range from a few minutes to more than an hour. The report sets out each step of the correction for your birthplace and date; if you do not want this correction, you can switch it off in the form.

    What does the report include?

    A 16-section A4 PDF, about 20–25 pages in English: sections with longer text continue onto extra pages, and nothing is cut. If the birth time is unknown or close to a pillar boundary and the explanation is longer, the time correction gets an extra continuation page, again with nothing cut. The optional AI reading is added at the end as an appendix and continues onto further pages automatically when it is long.     Will the same details give the same result every time?

    With the same rules version and the same calculation date, yes: chart calculation and analysis follow fixed rules. The annual pillars, twelve-month rhythm and auspicious dates are worked out forward from the calculation date, so if you order on a different day, these parts will differ. When the rules are updated, the version number changes; reports you have already bought are not altered as a result. The optional AI reading may be worded differently each time, and it is instructed to cite only results that have already been calculated.

    What can I see before paying?

    Before paying, you can see the report’s table of contents with a short description of each section, the live birth time correction and four pillars, and a sample report generated for fictional people. Your scores and types are not shown before payment; only once payment is confirmed does the server generate the full report from the details you checked.

    Where do I find my report after paying?

    When payment is complete, you are taken automatically to “My Compatibility Reports”, where you can view the report and download the PDF as soon as it has been generated. After that, sign in to the same account to come back and download it again at any time.

    What if the report is not generated after I pay?

    Your payment is recorded in your account first. If report generation has not finished, “My Compatibility Reports” shows its status: you can press retry, or we can review it and then issue the report to you. You do not need to pay again.

    Will my details be stored?

    So that the report can be generated and you can download it again later, the birth details are stored with the order in your account, and only you can view them after signing in. The time correction shown while you fill in the form is calculated in your browser.
